14th annual market
A NEW LOOK FOR 2024
The Broomfield Farmer’s Market 2024 season is finished! Stay tuned for next year’s schedule!
TUESDAYs
4 - 7pm
The Broomfield Farmers’ Market launched its 14th season on June 11. It has a new look, some exciting new offerings, and a return of favorite vendors offering fresh produce, meat, prepared food, crafts, and other items.
Our History
The Broomfield Foundation honored the Broomfield Farmers Market with the Heart of Broomfield ward in 2022. Since then, it has steadily grown into a vibrant community gathering place.
Jubilee Ministry
The Broomfield Farmers’ Market at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church at Hwy 287 and West 10th Avenue was officially designated as a Jubilee Ministry by the national Episcopal Church for its work in helping to bring healthy, locally-grown food to area residents, and especially to people in need. The National Episcopal Church created the Jubilee Ministry program two decades ago to support efforts across the nation and world to battle poverty and injustice.
Our Mission
When we launched the farmers’ market in 2011, we established the mission, “To create a destination that connects the community with healthy food and local farmers, and a destination that demonstrates the stewardship commitment of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Comforter.” From Day One, the market was never about “us,” but rather about outreach to our larger community. In 2023, for example, we distributed $2,800 in $20 vouchers to local educators during our annual Teacher Appreciation Day, provided local moms with $610 in vouchers through our partnership with Broomfield Health and Human Services through the WIC program, and continued to double purchasing power for residents on the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program funded solely through fees we received from our vendors.
Our Updated Market
As we enter the 14th season, we realized that it’s time for a bit of a refresh of our market look and our offerings. Among our vendors, this season is Waves of Grain, a cooperative of local farms that will bring to the market beef, chicken, eggs, cheese, and dairy products. Also, new this season will be the Broomfield Farmers Market Biergarten, a shaded area where patrons over age 21 can enjoy a couple of frosty beverages while enjoying live entertainment and the offerings of one of our food vendors.
There’s still room for more. If you are interested in being a vendor at the Broomfield Farmers’ Market, or in serving as one of our volunteers, reach out to Dave Carter or any of our market volunteers to ask how you can join our team and keep the Heart of Broomfield beating strong.
More information about being involved in any facet of the market’s 2024 season is available through the Broomfield Farmers’ Market Facebook page, by contacting Dave Carter at market@holycomforterchurch.net or going to the link below.
